All Smoke, No Fire in SA Cannabis Sector

On 26th October we held a webinar discussing how to unlock the development potential of the cannabis sector in South Africa. This comes more than eight months after President Ramaphosa said in his State of the Nation Address that they will work to see a vibrant sector and that hemp alone could create 130,000 much needed jobs. Since then very little has happened and we sit in an economic crisis with no clear way forward for the legal cannabis sector. Meanwhile, as panelists in this webinar pointed out, there are other countries in the world moving fast and getting ahead of us in opening up the industry.
